Elon Musk spoke about the next test flight of the Starship ship
The next prototype of the Starship spacecraft will rise to a height of about 15 km during the upcoming test flight. The head of SpaceX published a photograph of a new prototype of the Starship ship under development, called SN8. He noted that this prototype was the first with tail flaps. Musk added that later a nose fairing will also be installed on this prototype. Musk also said that during the upcoming test flight Starship SN8 will have to rise to a height of about 15 km. Earlier, during the tests of other prototypes of this ship, they rose only to a height of about 150 meters. Musk did not name the planned date of the test flight, but said that the bow fairing on the SN8 will be installed before October 4. He added that in October another prototype of the Starship SN9 ship will be ready. The company SpaceX develops the Starship spacecraft and a super-heavy launch vehicle for flights beyond Earth orbit. The SpaceX expected to conduct the first Starship orbital test flight before the end of 2020. As previously reported by the news agency, on September 4, the prototype of the Starship SN6 spacecraft was raised to a height of 150 meters during tests at the private SpaceX cosmodrome in Texas.
