The British armed forces may completely abandon the use of armored vehicles, the Times reports on August 25. The publication claims that London has already begun negotiations with NATO partners on revising its military participation in the alliance in case of abandonment of armored vehicles. According to one version, having abandoned tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, Britain can compensate for its presence in the North Atlantic Alliance groups by another 50 attack, reconnaissance and transport helicopters. According to the Times, this issue may be resolved by the middle of autumn this year.
